Introduction

I have developed all in one smart home idea which help us to face difficulties in our daily life. It makes our work easier and provide us a very high security.

The main idea to build up this project is to use a renewable resource of energy solar panel and to get best level of security with auto on off detection information and many other The function is as under We can check and keep an eye of many things through our mobile by just connecting by Bluetooth The auto detection technology of the project help to determine day and night to on light automatically accordingly On mobile we will get alert about rain.

There is many level of security We can check the distance of people from our house or door to prevent robbery or any other consequences A buzzer will start beeping in different sound accordingly to level of danger We can also turn of and on many things as per our requirements This project help us to make our life easier

Technical Working Principle

The entire system is controlled by the Arduino UNO microcontroller, acting as the main brain. The working structure is divided into various sections as follows:

1. Power Management

The heart of sustainability in this project is the Solar Charging system. The whole circuit is powered by the Arduino UNO board, which is itself powered by a Rechargeable Lead Acid Battery. This battery is charged by the Solar Panel.

  • Solar Panel: Converts solar energy into electrical energy.
  • Lead Acid Battery: A rechargeable battery stores power for use at night or when there is no sunlight.
  • Protection Circuit: The circuit uses a Diode to prevent reverse charging from the battery to the solar panel at night. A Capacitor is also used for electrical signal filtering, ensuring stable voltage supply to the Arduino and sensors.

2. Bluetooth Control

We use the HC-05 Bluetooth Module to communicate with a smartphone via the "Bluetooth Electronics" application. We can control the whole model by using our mobile by just connecting our phone Bluetooth with the Bluetooth module present in the model.

  • Users can select the operating mode, either automatic (Auto Mode) or manual (Manual Mode). We can easily turn on and off lights and control the activity of all the circuit features.
  • The system will send log/alert information back to the smartphone screen in Real-time, such as object distance or rain status.

3. Security Logic

The program processes data from multiple sensors concurrently (Concurrent Processing). It contains a code which is uploaded to the board. And once it is simulated you can start using your circuit.

  • Intrusion Prevention System: Uses Ultrasonic and IR sensors together for accuracy.
  • Environmental System: Uses LDR and Rain Sensor to manage lighting and alert to weather conditions.

Key Features & Usage

There is Multiple Usage of this Project:-

1. Auto Charge for battery: Smart charging system from sunlight.

2. Over Charge Protection of battery: Features a circuit to prevent overcharging, extending battery life.

3. 24x7 power supply: The system operates 24 hours a day without relying 100% on grid electricity. The whole model has a power supply with no need for mains electricity.

4. Water Detection / Rain Detection: Detects raindrops. When it rains, the Buzzer sounds, LEDs glow, and "Raining Outside" is sent via Bluetooth (When Connected).

5. Auto on/Off light Controlled by LDR sensor: Measures ambient light intensity to automatically turn on lights when dark and turn off when bright, saving energy. This feature can also be turned off and LEDs can be controlled manually via Bluetooth.

6. IR sensor detection: Detects objects passing at close range, suitable for doors or windows. It starts beeping and glows the desired LED, also displaying an alert on our mobile (When Connected).

7. Multi-Level Security (Ultrasonic Sensor): This range-based sensor can detect objects up to 400 cm. It creates different beeping sounds according to the distance and glows LEDs. It also displays the level of danger and object distance from the sensor.

Deep Dive into Sensors

Ultrasonic Sensor - HC-SR04

Ultrasonic Sensor is the most important part from a security perspective. This sensor detects distance using reflected sound waves and can detect objects up to a range of 300-400 cm.

The system is coded to categorize risk levels by distance:

  • Extreme Risk: Object closer than 75 cm (Buzzer sounds very frequently + lights flash rapidly).
  • High Risk: Distance 76 - 151 cm.
  • Medium Risk: Distance 152 - 227 cm.
  • Low Risk: Distance 228 - 300 cm (Alerts start at this level).

LEDs and a buzzer are attached to this sensor and will beep and blink according to the risk level. We can easily turn this function on and off using our phone.

HC-05 Bluetooth Module

Bluetooth Module (HC-05) is the most important part of the model. It acts as an intermediary between Arduino and the mobile User Interface (UI).

  • Connection Status: The HC-05 has a red LED which indicates connection status. Before connecting, this red LED blinks continuously. When connected to a Bluetooth device, its blinking slows down to every two seconds.
  • Data Feedback: It sends alert messages (Strings) to display on the app, allowing remote monitoring and control of all project features.

Rain Detection System

Rain Detection helps us to get an alert about rain. The system consists of a Metallic Rain Plate and a sensor module (a voltage comparator circuit).

  • When water droplets accumulate on the plate, the resistance changes, causing the sensor to send a signal to the Arduino.
  • The system responds by activating the Buzzer and LED, and immediately sending the "Raining Outside" message to a connected mobile device.

We can easily turn this function on and off using our phone.

LDR Module

LDR Module helps us to determine day and night. It uses the principle of a Light Dependent Resistor.

It acts as an automatic daylight switch, turning lights on at night and off during the day. This reduces unnecessary electricity consumption and automatically maintains security lighting.

IR Sensor

IR sensor also plays an important role in security. This sensor detects objects by transmitting and receiving infrared rays.

When an object is detected, it will print "Alert Ir Detects Object" if Bluetooth is connected. LEDs and a buzzer attached to this sensor will beep and blink. We can easily turn this function on and off using our phone.
