Iconic Cinematic Lighting

This project replicates the famous "Scanner" effect from the classic TV show Knight Rider, using high-speed shifting logic.

  • Non-Blocking Sweep Animation: Instead of using delay(), the code uses millis() and a state machine to move the "Active" LED back and forth across a row of 8-10 pins. This allows for fluid, organic-looking movement.
  • Persistence of Vision (POV): (Advanced version) Uses PWM to "Fade" the trailing LEDs, creating a realistic motion-blur effect that mimics the original incandescent bulbs.

Scalability

  • Shift Register Support: Easily expandable to 24+ LEDs using the 74HC595 shift register, allowing for a massive, full-width scanner on large prop builds.
