The Deflect-O-Meter is a precision measurement tool used to measure the minute bending or "Deflection" of beams, bridges, and mechanical parts under load.
Sub-Millimeter Strain Resolution: Uses a high-precision Linear Potentiometer or Hall-Effect sensor. The Arduino's 10-bit ADC maps the physical movement to a deflection value with an accuracy of 0.1mm.
Stress-Strain Mapping: (Advanced version) The Arduino calculates the applied load vs. the deflection, rendering a live "Elasticity Graph" on an I2C OLED screen.
Reliability
Baseline Auto-Zeroing: Features a "Tare" button that sets the current sensor position to 0.00mm, accounting for any initial sag or pre-load in the material being tested.
