Intelligent Bluetooth Low Energy Navigation
This project creates a highly efficient autonomous mobile robot that can be monitored and fine-tuned in real-time via a smartphone BLE link.
- Wireless PID Tuning: Communicates with a mobile app via an HM-10 or NRF52 BLE module. The user can remotely adjust the robot's "Avoidance Distance" and "Motor Speed" parameters while the rover is in motion.
- Asymmetric Conflict Mapping: Uses an ultrasonic sensor on a sweeping servo. The Arduino transmits a 180-degree "Radar Map" to the smartphone, allowing the user to see the obstacles the robot is navigating around.
Performance
- Low-Power Telemetry Pipeline: Exploits BLE's ultra-low power consumption, allowing the robot to stream its battery voltage and sensor status to the user for hours without significantly impacting the motor runtime.
