My project is about a charge controlling system based on android application.

I decided to make this project to prevent the mobile phone's battery life from overnight charging. It's works by using an application which is created by me using blocks coding which transmits the data to the hardware by using bluetooth connection.

Intelligent Battery Safety Hub

This project adds a smart protective layer to any standard USB or DC charger, preventing overcharging of smartphones or tablets.

  • Current Monitoring Feedback: The Arduino uses a shunt resistor or ACS712 sensor to monitor the charging current. When the current drops below a "Fully Charged" threshold (e.g., 50mA), the Arduino instantly disconnects the charger via a Relay.
  • MIT App Inventor Dashboard: Connects to a custom Android app. The user can remotely view the "Live Charging Current" and "Battery Percentage" (if integrated) and manually override the cutoff from their smartphone.

Safety Features

  • Thermal Interlock Hub: Includes a small thermistor taped to the battery; if the charging temperature exceeds 45°C, the Arduino automatically cuts power to prevent thermal runaway.
