Hey Everyone! Its been 12 months since the original release and now it needs some upgrades! Hopefully you guys like the new TVC mount and if you end up building it please send feedback :)

What you need to build it: Motor Tube, Inner Gimbal, Outer Gimbal, 2 Hex Nuts, 4 3x3x8mm Ball Bearings, 4 M3 Screws, 2 Linkage Stoppers, 2 pushrods, 2 servos.

Print the TVC mount in PETG or PC for higher temp stability.

Advanced Gimbal Mechanics

Delta TVC (Thrust Vector Control) Mount R2 is a high-precision mechanism for stabilizing model rockets during flight.

  • Mechanical Architecture: Features a "Delta" configuration where the rocket motor is mounted on a two-axis gimbal.
  • Servo Actuation: Two high-speed, high-torque digital servos adjust the angle of the engine nozzle based on PID calculations from the onboard flight computer.

Flight Stability Logic

  • PID Control Loop: The firmware reads data from an MPU6050 IMU. The PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) algorithm calculates the error between the desired vertical orientation and the actual tilt, sending micro-adjustments to the servos to keep the rocket on its flight path without traditional fins.
