I have built a 3d printed robot arm. It is driven by 6 servo motors. It can be controlled by three potentiometers or by a self-written windows application that is connected to the Arduino via the serial interface.

3D-Printed Mechanical Engineering
This project focuses on the design and assembly of a durable, 3D-printable robotic arm for desktop automation.
- Multi-Axis Servo Drive: Controls 3 to 4 MG996R high-torque metal gear servos. The Arduino manages the PWM pulses for the Base, Shoulder, Elbow, and Gripper.
- Strength-to-Weight Optimization: The code includes "Soft-Start" and "Soft-Stop" logic to prevent the 3D-printed joints from cracking due to sudden inertial loads during high-speed movements.
Control Options
- Potentiometer Recording: Features a "Playback" mode; the user can manually position the arm using potentiometers, and the Arduino records the joint angles to EEPROM, allowing the arm to repeat the task autonomously.
