Train Simulator Physical Cab Interface

RAGLINK+ is an advanced hardware-software bridge that allows model railroaders and simulator enthusiasts to control OpenBVE using physical train controls and a custom dashboard.

  • Windows 10 Serial Handshake: The Arduino (Cab side) captures data from physical levers and buttons. A custom RAGLINK+ C# application on the PC receives this serial data and translates it into OpenBVE simulator commands.
  • Bi-Directional Telemetry Mirroring: (Features) The simulator sends current speed and air-pressure data back to the Arduino. The firmware then updates physical analog gauges or digital displays in the custom "Cab Viewer" hardware.

Performance

  • Zero-Lag Haptic Feedback: Optimized for high-speed serial communication (115200 baud), ensuring that when you pull the brake lever, the simulator responds instantly with sub-30ms latency.
