This project is developed with the objective of create a domotic system using a smartwatch because is more confortable to have the control of our house on a wristwatch than having to take the cell phone out of your pocket whenever you want to control something.

Wearable HMI Development

This project bridges a custom Android smartwatch interface with local Arduino hardware for a personalized "Wrist-Control" experience.

  • Bluetooth Serial Link: The Arduino connects to the smartphone via an HC-05 or BT-4.0 BLE module. A custom app (built in MIT App Inventor) displays a series of sliders or buttons on the watch's face.
  • Data Packet Parsing: The Arduino receives RGB strings (e.g., R120G255B000) and translates them into PWM intensities for an attached LED strip.

Remote Diagnostics

  • Bi-Directional Feedback: (Advanced version) The Arduino can send status information (like battery life or temperature) back to the smartwatch, effectively using your wrist as a remote telemetry display.
